Intensive Community Support Services Specialist-2 openings in Harrison County

Gulf Coast Mental Health Center has a two openings in our Harrison County Office for two Intensive Community Support Specialists.  These are full time positions M-F 8a-5p.

The ICSS will work as the clinician for those clients recently discharged from residential and acute hospitals to promote stabilization back into the community providing them with services 2-3 times per week through counseling as well as connecting them to the necessary resources for continued care.  The ICSS is the first point of contact from acute care and hospitalization until a client is stable enough to step down to regular community support services, therapy, etc.  Duties include:

  • meeting with clients 2-3 times per week for therapy as well as connecting benefits such as SSI benefits, food stamps, day programs, etc.
  • ensure attendance of appoints and medication compliance
  • case load of twenty clients with each case lasting approximately sixty to ninety days
  •  complete intakes on all hospital referrals

Position Requirements:

  • 2-3 years experience as a Mental Health Clinician
  • LPC, LMSW, LCSW, or CMHT
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check as mandated by the State of Mississippi Department of Health

Gulf Coast Mental Health Center has a opening in our Stone County Office for an Intensive Community Support Services Specialist.  This is a full time position M-F 8a-5p.

Psychiatric Technicians-Part Time/PRN-Crisis Stabilization Unit
Gulf Coast Mental Health Center is currently hiring Part Time/PRN Psychiatric Technicians for our Crisis Stabilization Unit.  A High School Diploma or GED is required.


Director of Crisis Stabilization Unit-Harrison County
Gulf Coast Mental Health Center has an immediate opening for a Director of the Crisis Stabilization Unit.  This position requires a Nurse Practitioner with 2-5 years of Psychiatric experience preferably in an inpatient facility.  The Director will oversee all operations of the staff, and will be under the supervision of a Psychiatrist.    


School Based Therapist Hancock County
Gulf Coast Mental Health Center has one opening in Hancock County for a School Based Therapist.  This position requires a Master's Degree in a mental health related field.


School Based Therapists-Harrison County
Gulf Coast Mental Health Center has openings for School Based Clinicians in Harrison County.  This position requires a Master's Degree in a mental health related field. 


Mobile Crisis Emergency Response Team Therapists
Gulf Coast Mental Health Center currently has 2 full time openings for therapists to act as members of the Mobile Crisis Emergency Response Team (MCERT).  The MCERT Therapist is required to have Master's Degree in a mental health related field; LPC, LMFT, LMSW, or CMHT preferred.  2- 3 years experience as a mental health counselor is preferred.


Program Assistants-Crossroads Recovery Center
Crossroads Recovery Center has immediate openings for Program Assistants.  Duties include monitoring client activities, providing transportation for clients to and from meetings, executing activities with clients as directed by therapists, and other duties as assigned. 


Outpatient Clinician-Adult Services-Picayune

Immediate openings for Outpatient Clinicians in Adult Services located in Picayune, MS. 

Master's Degree in Psychology, Social Work, or Counseling required.  LCSW, LMSW, LPC, or LMFT preferred.
